A local club member was reminiscing about a scout camporeee he attended in his youth. Tis led to another mentioning the 2026 Jamboree-on-the-Air (JOTA) that takes place from October 16 to October 18.
It was decided to approach the local scout troop(s) about setting up a JOTA station in a nearby park.
You have been volunteered to organize the program, and you can choose whether to be the main presenter/coach as well if you so choose.
Use INCIDENT OBJECTIVES (ICS 202)to make a plan and send it to the troop leaders and the members of the club who may participate.

Joe_Newton@CentralCityMiddleSchool.edu teaches physics and is the Cebtral City troop's scoutmaster.
Tisha-Robichau@CentralCity.gov is the assistant scoutmaster.
KZ0HM and KA9MP are retired and offered to present or help present.

Start a new message and select Standard Templates > ICS USA Forms > ICS 202 Incident Objectives.txt.
Enter IOWA WINLINK WEEKEND, using the Setup button.

1. Incident Name: enter "Amateur Radio Introduction"
2. Operational Period: pick a date and enter the times you can schedule to present.
3. Objective(s) describe what you expect to have the scouts learn.
4. Operational Period Command Emphasis: describe how the presentation should go.
General Situational Awareness: Emphasize awareness of the age of the scouts.
Also, enter your
call sign, first name, city or town, county, state, mode (Winlink HF, VARA FM, VHF packet, etc.)
2 letter state abbreviation and no parentheses, please.
Example: WB0GAG, Bruce, Muscatine, Muscatine, IA, VARA HF
5. Safety Plan Required check "no".
6. Incident Action Plan select as many or as few as you like, including give-away items, if any.
7. Prepared by: you.
