Your club's leadership called on you to coordinate the local ham welcome home effort, escorting his body to the local funeral home.
You are assigned to prepare the communication plan for the club members using ICS205,
select Template > Standard Templates > ICS USA Forms > ICS205 Radio Plan.
- Click Setup and enter your club name
- 1. Incident Name:enter "Elmer Hamm, RIP"
- 2. Date /Time Prepared enter"2024-08-07 06:58"
- 3. Operational Period:, enter 2024-08-10 and 0800 to 0900
- 4. Basic Radio Channel Use: enter at least 3 names of escorts and their assigned street corners.
- 5. Special Instructions: enter "Exercise, exercise" then your:
call sign, first name, city or town, county, state, mode (Winlink HF, VARA FM, VHF packet, etc.)- 6. Sign and date as Approved By and enter page 1.
Save a copy for later if you wish.
Review your message, then click Submit and set "Subject:" to "Iowa Winlink Weekend".
RMS submission
In the message composition window, make sure "Send As:" is set to Winlink Message.
Check "Request message receipt" if you wish a confirmation message.
Set "To:" to WB0GAG. Add any others you would like to receive the message.
Set "Subject:" to Iowa Winlink Saturday.
When you are satisfied with the message, click "Post to Outbox".
Send as normal. If you have no radio capability yet, use telnet.
Peer-to-Peer submission
In the message composition window, make sure "Send As:" is set to Peer-to-Peer Message.
Check "Request message receipt" if you wish a confirmation message.
Set "To:" to N7BBI.
Set "Subject:" to Iowa Winlink Saturday.
When you are satisfied with the message, click "Post to Outbox".
Set Open Session" to Vara HF P2P.
Open a session between 7AM and 10AM, Central Time Saturday.
Send to N7BBI, dial frequency 7111, bandwidth 500.When you are satisfied with the message, click "Post to Outbox".
Send as normal.
